2007 Website Contest

How does your User Group’s website stack up against the competition? You canfind out by entering the APCUG 2007 Website Competition. September 1, 2007 isthe date for submitting your website URLs. The procrastinators will have untilOctober 15, 2007 -- the deadline to get their entries in.Click here for entry form.

Your website will be judged by individuals who are experts in the field ofwebsite design. Our judges are aware that most UG's do not have big bucks tohave a professionally designed site, and every website will be judged on somebasic criteria (see below) - so everyone can compete. Your website will bejudged after the contest closing date. There is no definite date for the judgesto visit your site, but it will be visited before December 16, 2007. The namesof our judges will be announced in the next issue of APCUG Reports.

Your website will visited by the judges sometime between October 16 and December 16, 2007, and may be visited more than once.

The judgingcriteria for the websites are as follows:

User Group Websites will be judged in three different categories

User Group Information
(0 - 5 points each)

Layout and Design
(0 - 5 points each)

Search Engine
(0 - 5 points maximum)

Interesting Site (subjective)

The results of the competition will be announced at the APCUG’s AnnualConvention, January 3 – 6, 2008 in Las Vegas; you do not need to be present towin. After the convention, the results will be posted on http://www.apcug.net/and sent out via NOOZ and Reports. All participants will receive a Certificate ofParticipation; 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive plaques as well asthe appropriate 2007 contest logos to use on their group’s newsletter orwebsite.
