Jeri Steele has been programming and using personal computers since the CP/M days. She recently moved to Bowling Green, KY to accept a job in Supply Chain IT for a clothing manufacturer. Jeri has used Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Apple Mac OS/X, as well as, using UNIX at work. Jeri is a well-known and frequent speaker on Open Source and genealogical topics having led the NTPCUG’s Master Genealogist software users SIG for about 15 years and the Dallas Genealogy Society Computer Interest Group for 2 years. She has previously served in the following user group leadership positions: Membership Director for North Texas PC Users Group (NTPCUG) for 6 years President of the Dallas Genealogical Society (DGS), an APCUG member Secretary of the Dallas Chapter of the Association of IT Professionals (AITP) Jeri is currently a member of both the Bowling Green Area Microcomputer User Group (BGAMUG) and the Dallas Genealogy Society (DGS) but she will represent BGAMUG. | |
