The Southwest User Group Conference X3 will take place from Friday evening,
August 11 through Sunday lunch, August 13 at the Town and Country Resort &
Convention Center in San Diego, California. Planned activities include
vendor-sponsored presentations and meals, workshops on Saturday and Sunday, a
Saturday evening Vendor Exhibition, up-close and personal time with
participating vendors, plus prize drawings. There will be newsletter and Web
site contests for all groups with members in attendance, as well as a digital
photo contest open to all attendees. User Groups with members attending the
conference are also eligible to submit their user group's digital photo contest
winners to be included in the contest. Contest entries must be submitted by July
7. Attendees will also receive a conference T-shirt and Welcome Bag; the latter
stuffed with promotional material, special pricing offers and/or software.
The Early Bird conference registration fee per person is $50, if postmarked by July 19. The fee is $60 if postmarked by July 26; and $75 from July 27 to August 12.
The Town and Country is offering conference attendees a special group rate of $99.00, single or double occupancy. To make your reservations, call their toll-free reservation number (800.77.ATLAS by July 19 and identify yourself as attending the Southwest User Group Conference (SUG is the conference code).
Attendees are encouraged to submit their design to be used for the Southwest newsletter, Website and digital photo contest award certificates and displayed in the winning newsletters and on the winning Websites. The creator of the design selected by the judges will receive a free night at the hotel during the conference. Contact Judy for more details.

Some of the workshops will enable attendees to take the content back to their group and make the presentation. PowerPoint presentations, etc. will be included on the Welcome to SW CD-ROM that is given to all attendees.
The conference began with 43 attendees and has grown to over 350 attendees in 2005. We hope to see you there.
