Wrap Up

APCUG’s Annual Conference is over, and we have the winners of the Digital Photo Contest on page 6, the winners of the Jerry Award Competition on page 22, and information on next year’s competition, together with some of the winning groups' writeups on page 32 and 33. We also have a couple of reports on the conference on page 27 and 31, and we acknowledge the hard work of the people that made the conference possible on page 4.

Regionals have conferences too, and the FACUG Regional is discussed on page 19, and Southwest is covered on page 33.

We understand that many groups have shrinking membership, and articles on page 4, page 8, page 27, and page 31 have some ideas you might want to consider.

Are these the only answers? Certainly not. And I want to ask you to help me identify other solutions. If you have found a way to build membership, could you please write it up, and email it to president@apcug.net, and I will include it next quarter in APCUG Reports. And if you tried something you think should have worked, but didn’t, could you document what you tried, and send it in too, and maybe someone will come up with a way to make it work.

For ideas on retaining members see the article on page 30. You might also get some good ideas by seeing what other groups are doing. See page 9, 12, and 13 through 19.
