APCUG 2007 Website Competition

How does your User Group’s website stack up against the competition? You can find out by entering the APCUG 2007 Website Competition. September 1, 2007 is the date for submitting your website URLs. The procrastinators will have until October 15, 2007 -- the deadline to get their entries in.

Your website will be judged by individuals who are experts in the field of website design. Our judges are aware that most UG's do not have big bucks to have a professionally designed site, and every website will be judged on some basic criteria (see below) - so everyone can compete. Your website will be judged after the contest closing date. There is no definite date for the judges to visit your site, but it will be visited before December 16, 2007. The names of our judges will be announced in the next issue of APCUG Reports. The judging criteria for the websites are as follows:

User Group Websites will be judged in three different categories
Small - under 100 members
Medium - 101 – 299 members
Large - 300+ members

User Group Information
(0 - 5 points each)

Layout and Design

Search Engine
(0 - 5 points maximum)

Interesting Site (subjective)

Submit your club’s website URL to: websites2007@apcug.net

The results of the competition will be announced at the APCUG’s Annual Convention, January 3 – 6, 2008 in Las Vegas; you do not need to be present to win. After the convention, the results will be posted on http://www.apcug.net/ and sent out via NOOZ and Reports. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation; 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive plaques as well as the appropriate 2007 contest logos to use on their group’s newsletter or website.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to get some recognition for your group.
